When posting a link to another site, such as a news article, the URL doesn’t become a clickable hyperlink like it used to, even after copying and pasting it into the message. It just shows up as plain text like the rest of the message. Is it some sort of bug in the latest version of the XenForo software? It’s not just me, as I’ve seen other users post links that don’t automatically become clickable.

I'd also like to understand if there's a way to post links to Youtube videos and have it so the link is available for RD users to click on to view it, but without the large still photo of the video becoming visible in the post on this website.

I've made a couple of changes in the configuration.
I don't know of a way to do that. Perhaps others can help.
I'll ask a friend who runs similar software to this board (Xenforo) and post it or PM it to you.
Vchimpanzee posted a link in the In Memoriam thread about David Birney that didn't work, but I put it in a quote where I responded and it worked. Why would that be happening? I haven't had any problem in any link that I've recently posted though.
I edited Vchimpanzee's post, re-entering the link. It worked.
But we can force a hyper link using [ ] and [/] commands
That is done automatically.
