US Open men's tennis final to be played on Monday, yet again.

I wonder, will all of the CBS O and O's and non CBS O and O's air the final live?

Next year's final will be held on September 9, 2013 instead of September 8, I guarantee it or your money back.

No, they're gonna pawn it off to CBS Sports Network. Or better yet, put it on the CW.

Gosh...what do you think, Julius?? You should be old enough to know that it's best not to ask rhetorical questions all the time (or question Mother Nature). It'll save all of us a lot of time as we won't have to answer them.

CORRECTED: US Open men's tennis final to take place on 9/10. It will air on CBS

I wonder, will all of the CBS O and O's and non CBS O and O's air the final live?  It will air on CBS at 4 PM ET.

Since they share the rights, I'm thinking it'll be on ESPN2 this time.
Event to air live on CBS tomorrow at 4 PM ET.

CBS will air the final tomorrow afternoon at 4 PM ET live. I think all of the O and O's will air it live. Don't know about the non CBS owned and operated stations.

Alisha Tyler from The Talk just announced that show's season premiere is bumping up to Tuesday instead because of definite Pacific pre-emptions. Also just checked the Dr. Phil show page; repeat on Monday for sure, the Zimmerman hype moves to Tuesday. Dr. Oz is proceeding with his planned show on Monday.

The latter might anger the fans of the courtroom shows, Springer, infomercials, and the other daytime ilk that might grace most CW stations' daytime schedules, who might have a hard time dealing with the preemption of their favorite shows for tennis. ;D

Although I'm not a big tennis fan, a pre-emption for tennis would be an improvement to me, with the possible exception of Jeopardy.  ::)

WDBJ is airing the Ellen from 4-5 and joining match in progress at 5 and WFMY is airing Ellen an hour early at 3 and airing match in full from 4 and airing Let's Make A Deal at 2:07am Tuesday morning.

You know, if you check zap2it.com with various ZIP Codes, you can see if a given market
is carrying it (assuming the listings for that station have been updated). NYC/CHI/DEN/
PHX/TUS/LAX are airing tennis at 4 ET/1 PT today.

Now, a question for any CBS affil MC ops who may be in the know--what are CBS' plans
for the CBS Evening News, depending on the end time of tennis? Will there be a live
7 PM ET feed? (I think COS is counting on that.) How about a 7:30 ET/5:30 MT feed
for (most) Mountain zone stations? And feeds at 5:30/6:00/6:30 PT for the left coast?

On KYW, Dr. Phil is airing now and the normal schedule will resume tomorrow. I didn't see any info as of this time on today's Doctors episode airing on CBS 3 or CW Philly 57.

Here in Houston, Ellen is on KHOU 11 today only at 2PM, and she'll be back at its normal time tomorrow-at 3PM. Ellen has just moved from KPRC-TV.

I just saw on WIFR Rockford's Facebook page, that they'll put the U.S. Open Men's final on its second subchannel (which is AccuWeather), with regular programming airing on its main signal (this case, Dr. Oz and Ellen). However, if the match goes past 5:30pm local time (6:30pm ET), then they'll moved the match to the main signal, and the scheduled White Sox telecast airing on DT2.

I wonder if next year if syndicated talk shows (Ellen, Dr. Phil, etc.) will move their premiers to Tuesday to allow for a rain delayed US Open final or simply delay them until the next Monday? Wheel and Jeopardy have premiers next Monday. (9/17)

It actually aired today, save for the Pacific Time Zone (and maybe Alaska and Hawaii). In those areas ONLY, Monday's Talk instead of Price tomorrow at 10 AM Local.

Depends on how fast one can finish off the other. At this rate, maybe. Just maybe. Murray's getting on track.

UPDATE: Well, he was...I think we can now write off the 7 PM feed.

Short answer: No. The Open is the least of their worries.

Here in Cleveland, CBS affiliate WOIO channel 19 bumped the tennis match over to their sister station WUAB channel 43 (My Network TV).

The exact same thing happened last year as well. WOIO runs local news from 4-6:30 p.m., and they didn't want to pre-empt their newscasts, so they slid tennis over to WUAB.

WKRC in Cincinnati and WJZ in Baltimore are both CBS affiliates who are scheduled to simulcast tonight's ESPN MNF game between the Bengals and Ravens (already in progress). I assume that they've shifted US Open coverage to a digital subchannel or elsewhere?

In the Fort Myers market, CBS affiliate WINK TV moved the US Open to DT2 (WINK News 24/7) and aired regular programming and extended the 6:00 pm newscast to 7:00 pm.
