US96.3 voiceover guy Brian James passes

As reported on some of the other boards, Brian James, the big voice guy you hear on US96.3, has died. He also voiced Y101 and SL100, as well as numerous other stations like Star 94 Atlanta, FM100 Memphis and 94.1ZBQ in Tuscaloosa.
 
Brian's truly one of the legends and will be missed. Another bit of history: He was also the creative force behind The Power Pig (now 93.3 FLZ/Tampa) and that's how he got his big break as a VO and production guy. He left his mark on the biz and will truly be missed.
 
It took me a while to put 2+2 together, but I realize now this guy's done a lot of work. I never put it together that the same guy on Y101 and ZBQ is same guy I've heard on WLW on XM.

He had a great voice and will be missed.
 
Brian was eveywhere wasn't he? Whenever I visited family in Starkville, I'd always hear Brian's voice on 94.1 ZBQ out of Tuscaloosa. That was a great station back then, and Brian's voice on the imaging was the icing on the cake. He will be missed.
