Ok haters...I'm back to let the hammer down!
Let's talk about this radio station "they" claim to be America's Country Station.
1. In the past 4 years they have had 3 changes on the morning show. John left to oldies, Tom Rivers came in, Tom rivers died, John came back. I'm freakin dizzy. All the while there was no PD and Evan Kroft the [*EDIT]the place was falling apart.
(a moment of silence for the late Tom Rivers)
2. Big John sold out to oldies 104, then cried like a Biat*h to Rivers to get his job back because oldies was going voice-track. He claims it is because "the listeners" were boycotting the station?!? What?? Who are you Howard Stern? Get real.
3. Ray cannot host a morning show, or any show for that matter to save his puney little azz.
Hell, Kathrine who did traffic now sells furniture at Smithe Brothers. Thats radio for ya.
4. Big John has had major career failures. His westwood one show was pulled, US99 yanked his "country gold" show. Things were not looking good for the Big "J". And, to make matters worse, his marriage failed because his wife allegedly was cheating on him.
I can go on and on about this radio disaster, but I need to trash on other boards so I do not have time. I will tell you the outcome of all this. It has been known Ray did not like John. He felt he was over-shadowed as a "performer" performer? This will give Ray a chance to show his true personality. If Ray could have it his way he would talk NASCAR all morning long. They will give him a couple months then slowly add another voice to the mix, listen and learn kids.
This move is the worst thing John could have ever done. You do not go from a powerhouse FM station making what he "was" making, and I know what he was making. To a start up AM station. First, country fans are the most loyal people on earth. They will supprt you and your cause, but if you sell them out for money or fame they will turn on you like a rabid dog. And the hunt is on baby!
The fastest way to destroy your radio career is to sell out. Look at [**EDIT]. Nuff said.
