USA Network Screw Up

I was just watching USA Law And Oder SVU they got to a commercial break instead start showing A WWE NXT EP WTF. This is a major scew up at 1:50 CST maybe the person that should be watching the control board fell asleep. They just went back to SVU showed 4 min of NXT.

Do they even have a "control board" at 2 in the morning, or has computer automation taken the overnight shift?

Program playout for broadcast and cable channels is completely automated 24/7 these days. With hubbing and centralcasting there can be dozens, even hundreds of program feeds coming out of the same originating facility. All of this is overseen by very few people, as automation systems are usually pretty reliable.

I suspect in this case a commercial break was not programmed correctly into an automated playlist, or there was a feed mixup.

A feed mixup would be my guess. Maybe USA or your provider briefly flipped from the East feed to the West feed.
