USC signs with KSPN/KABC/KDIS

It's a three-year deal. ESPN 710 gets the bulk of the football and men's basketball games. Those that conflict with Angeles Baseball will air on KABC. The Lady Trojans B-Ball team have a new home at Radio Disney. This can be nothing but bad news for KMPC/The Ticket.......they just lost their main meal ticket. All they have left in the live coverage department now is Chargers Football, and whatever they can scrap up from Westwood One and other syndicators.

A friend of mine over at KMPC said that they've had a huge stack of ad cancellations. Right now, they're down to running just three spots.

I've never actually seen a radio station in meltdown but I can't think of any other way to describe what's happening with them.
