Lately I've been rounding out my music-intensive webcast with some podcasts
sprinkled into the mix. I make a point of first writing to the originators and asking their permission and most of them are quite happy to allow it. Some of them are surprisingly well produced and make it sound like there's actual people here. If they say no, then it's no great loss.
I don't want to step on anyone's legal toes, which is why I refrain from running podcasts that are originated by a broadcast station and mention the call letters or topical subject matter. Are there any other concievable circumstances where it would be a bad idea to run a particular podcast show on a webcast?
