v-103 ...changes

Let the rumors and gossip begin. Im hearing so many different stories about "The People's Station" its actually entertaining. Well, we know Joyce Littel was let go so The Quiet Storm is currently airing without a jock. The talk last week about Boris Kodjoe and his wife going syndicated taking over 10pm-2am at V-103 seems to be the current plans. The rumors and gossips don't stop there. I'm hearing morning man Frank Ski maybe heard in Washington,DC replacing legendary Donnie Simpson who was let go last week from sister station 95.5 WPGC. Syndication or a complete move im not sure, but I know Frank had some contract issues some months ago. Remember, Frank went up there to fill in for Donnie sometime last year, but why Frank?? Also, CBS Radio has an openning for a full time jock at V-103 now. Does all of this point to Ryan Cameron finally going to mornings (wheres Rashan Ali)? Osei to afternoons?

You might or not be right about Frank Ski going to WPGC. But I do want to mention that Frank signed a new contract with V-103. While they could move Ryan Cameron to mornings, I doubt Osei would do afternoons. His performance in middays at V wasn't exactly stellar, but who knows?

Hmmm... I see my article in Examiner.com is reaching the radio heads. Stay tuned.

DCRTV.com speculates that WPGC will be moving Big Tigger over from afternoons to replace Donnie Simpson; perhaps Frank Ski could fill the void in afternoon drive if he does go to Washington.

Atlanta is the #7 market, DC is #9, V103 is #1 12+, WPGC is not even close in 12+, Unless CBS is going to pony up Mega Buck$, why would Frank move? ???

I think you're onto something ShawtyBlack with the syndicated Quiet Storm show, Power 98 here in Charlotte (owned by CBS Radio) released Consuella Williams earlier last year. Since she's been gone PEG has voicetracked the Quiet Storm, they haven't even changed the imaging, and that is out of character for them. I don't know what CBS planning, but they planning something. Recently, they released 16 year morning show vet Janine Davis and the comedian, Terrance Belser left voluntarily to persue other interests. I know that Urban is down, like the ad market, but CBS is beginning to strip down their stations of what made them successful in the first place. I think it's suicide.

Yea CBS is cutting cost and I guess Urban stations are first. However, they have and ad up for a full time jock here at V-103. Also, CBS Urban 102 JAMZ in Orlando doesn't have a late night 10pm-2am show neither.
