for those who didn't think Variety Hits would work in the Steel City, WRRK debuts a strong #3 25-54 and #6 18-34.(nay-sayers can now stick their heads back in the sand).
I never doubted it!!!OldiesCat1 said:for those who didn't think Variety Hits would work in the Steel City, WRRK debuts a strong #3 25-54 and #6 18-34.(nay-sayers can now stick their heads back in the sand).
Be realistic. Given the competition in Pittsburgh, WRRK was the only station on the entire dial that presented anything even a little bit different. Sample tune-ins from the curious alone would account for some of their success. When all of the other stations in town are playing the same old boring crap they've been playing for years, anything would seem like a breath of fresh air. If WRRK can sustain any sort of position, then I'll be impressed. In the land of blind men, the one-eyed man is king.OldiesCat1 said:(nay-sayers can now stick their heads back in the sand).
Ok i have seen the numbers. And it's great for bobfm and not for k-rock.OldiesCat1 said:info from today's Arbitron Winter numbers.
Then K-Rock is doomed. If I didn't read the posts in here, I wouldn't know that Opie and Anthony were replacing Roth. As others have pointed out in here, O & A are targeted at a specific demographic. And that particular demographic isn't noted for reading newspapers at all, and even if they do, they don't follow the TV/Radio column the way radio professionals and aficionados do. So, about the only people who actually heard the O & A show on K-Rock are the handful of disappointed David Lee Roth fans who tuned in to hear Diamond Dave. Those who might actually like his show are probably listening to Jim and Randy. Or they've popped a CD into the player.Dave said:Word-FM has beaten K-Rock in the ratings! Alleluia! ;DO&A is K-Rock's last chance for survival. If they can't save the station, nothing will.
I just hope k-rock stays on forever.K-RockFan said:I just don't know how people can like DVE it just not my taste i just don't like it.
They need to show ads on tv for the new morning show and put them on boards around pittsburgh. Thats the only way they can move the rating up hopefully.Todd said:The only way K ROCK will stay on forever is much better ratings. If they continue to be under 2.0 with O & A on, I see CBS Radio pulling the plug on K ROCK.
