A few thoughts:
With Frank Ski staying in Atlanta, it puts him in the heart of Cumulus country, which has a ton on different formatted stations and has been on a syndication binge as of late (Geraldo Rivera, Michael Savage, the deal with CBS Radio Sports, and aren't they now handling syndication of Moby's show), Cox which has been know to put a network of stations together for their talent and a major Clear Channel hub.
Also, going national can also mean satellite and/or internet streaming not exclusively terrestrial. It will be very interesting to see what happens when his non compete expires. He could actually take his show national and do it from his restaurant. Think of the dollars that could flow.
