Give us lowdown on what's going on. I just read that Frank Ski is doing his last show, Ryan Cameron is taking over mornings, and Tigger is gonna do afternoons. Is Frank Ski leaving on his own, or is he being forced out? What's the 411 my brother?

FRANK SKI is officially out at "The People's Station"! It's true!!!!!! I posted the rumors on the ATL board. More tea.... stay tuned

A lot of Clear Channel and Radio One stations use a Cumulus Media show in the afternoons/drive-time--The Michael Baisden Show.

Why not a Clear Channel/Premiere Radio Networks personality in that slot...or Reach Media?

I don't believe it had as much to do with the distribution as much as it just has with CBS flat out not wanting to do anymore urban syndication. The market manager, Rick Caffety, told Frank Ski "NO" on syndication. Apparently, WVEE makes more money being local than syndicating in the morning drive.

KSOC and WFUN went the old school format route and got rid of him, KRBV in LA was sold 5 years ago, so that leaves only WAMJ, WWIN, WFXC, WZAK and WDMK. Besides the other R1 markets where Baisden is on a competing urban ac, the Houston, Indy, Cincinnati and Columbus divisions were never interested in him - in a way that's a good thing since those cities have the sole urban ac outlet and wanted to maintain local programming in the PM drive there.

I don't think CC is interested in Ski since Atlanta is their only Top 10 market to NEVER have had any urban outlet, before and after the buyouts and spinoffs in 2000. Not to mention Star and Buckwild was their only other syndicated show CC did for urban outlets besides Steve Harvey and Keith Sweat.

Radio One at one point of time either had Michael Baisden or Monique in afternoon drive on all Urban ACs.

Clear Channel did try Urban here for a brief moment in the early 2000s, WILD 96.7. The station launched as Rhythmic but flipped to strictly Hip-Hop and R&B as "Atlanta's New Home for Hip-Hop and R&B" also "The Little Station" (V103 was known as "The Big Station" back then). This was VT'd with KiKi The 1st Lady, T-Roy and Rick Party (formely afternoons at V103). With 3 Urbans and 2 Urban ACs, we're at our max with Hip-Hop and R&B :D !

But that's just it. With iHeartRadio, who says he had to have an explicitly terrestrial return?
