......Derrick Brown. Congrats!!! Derrick is coming home after stints in Miami, Denver and DC. He will start at V103 on July 16th.

I am happy for Derrick, but I feel sorry for Armando......

Armando was robbed!!!!! He busted his ass to make V103 what it is and they diss him like that???? Why am I surprised at this ?? The Clear Channel Brain trust Strikes again......

Derrick is a superstar, a class act, and on his way to legendary status. Congrats to one of the best and brightest in the business. Brilliant move on the part of Double D to get Derrick back to town! Let's hope he talks to Carlton-Cahill Homes about his new crib.

I often wondered why CC offered the position to someone else rather than Armando Rivera. It seems to me that he would be perfect for the job. He has been in Chicago radio for 20 plus years and knows the market like the back of his hand. It doesn't make any sense. Maybe Armando didn't want the position, but I don't see that. Does anyone else have any input?

Armando wanted it AND requested an interview, which he was never offered. Over the last 10 years radio seems to NOT promote from with in, you have to go to a competitor or to a different market......

Really, it seems like it would just the opposite when it comes to promotion. But what do I know?
