...seen the new billboards for KT'R? Let's see, where have we heard "We Need To Talk" before? Hmmmmm....didn't KFWhyEye use that quite effectively a couple of years ago? Since KT'R moved to FM, the Nurse and I've felt the Master Blogger was several years behind 5~Fifty's programming and this pretty much confirms it. What's next from TMB? The Valley's Talk Station?? Mac 'n Cheese Lives Here?? If You're Talking About It, So is Aunt Carlos?? Pretty creative stuff from the Number One Two News & Talk Station we'd say!

KTAR does provide some ground-breaking-talk programming in the evenings with the Ren & Stimpy show (Mac and Gaydos) from 6p-7p. ;D

I'm waiting for Mac 'n Cheese to invite his infamous girlfriend (hereafter: IGF) to co-host the show with him. Now that would be riveting talk radio!

What should they talk about first? The long hike back to the car to get concert tickets at the University of Phoenix stadium when Mac's IGF left them in the car? The tasty treats Mac's IGF makes for him? Mac's affinity for drinking Arnold Palmers? So many relevant topics to cover, so little time!

Do you care (Mac's question to Gaydos, et al. at the end of his show)? :-\

Here we go again! If it isn't right-wing hateradio, let's call them names and insult them. Of course, they're on the air....

Activities DIRECTLY from the Rush and Sean playbook. DIRECTLY. Not the least susprising.

rkchgo,

I think you are missing the point. KTAR advertises that they want to talk about issues like gas prices, the election, the economy, etc. Mac, however, spends a lot of time talking about issues that I and perhaps others don't care about. This has nothing to do with left vs. right. If you say you're going to talk about relevant issues then talk about relevant issues.

I would level the same criticisms against Rush Limbaugh if he chose to spend one hour a day discussing sports. The same holds true for any other host who strays from the main focus of the station. I could give a rats a$$ about Mac's IGF or Gaydos' illegal alien girlfriend and what they do. They either talk the vote or they don't. Plain and simple as that.

Let me get this right. Dr. Akbar posts a negative comment about KTAR. And, he complains about originality?

The irony.

They talk the vote. And they talk about other things. There is more to life that trying to bash those who don't agree with you.

Hey, maybe I should work for KFYI, eh?

I'm not bashing. I'm tired of people (and it's all over this board) spouting off with the answer to all of radio's problems. And when it's because of their politics, and not the actual content or ability of those involved, then I speak up.

Frankly, I am tired of Rush and Hannity and those of their ilk. But that doesn't mean I think they shouldn't be on the air. Never have said that; never will.

I'd sure like to hear the same courtesy in return.

An Obama presidency would be worse than a second term of Carter

And STILL a vast improvement over the past eight years. Amazing, eh?

I will say this one more time...
RADIO IS BROKEN!!! Thank you, President Reagan. Sorry this is one thing is a hot issue for me. I no longer work in corperate radio - Thank goodness!

It does suck getting old, doesn't it!

I agree with you that we don't have the right to say who should be on air. As much as I might dislike or disagree with someone, I applaud their right to express themselves and speak freely.

This is an opinon's board, and opinons are subjective. Nobody is holding a gun to your head to read the opinons of free Americans on this board. If you don't like what's being posted about KTAR, then post what you like about KTAR, but don't infringe upon the right of anyone to post what they don't like about the station.

Kinda nit picking. If "We need to talk" works, why not recycle it. It's not aimed at us (on this board). The bigger issue--no matter what you think of KTAR or Bonneville, you have to applaud them for spending money on marketing. How many other radio companies are doing that in this day and age?

Yes indeedy, TMISU have squandered, er spent, a ton of bucks on KT'R since moving to FM. Too bad they still haven't got the product right so their money would be wisely spent. Nurse Jeff and I will gladly sell them our latest best seller: 77 Ways To Beat KFWhyEye...so easy a Master Blogger Caveman could do it!

What? More JD? I still don't know why you dig that show Akbar.

I have nowhere near the authority to "infringe" on someone's right to post. And I didn't. I *do*, however, have the right to point out the points I made.
