Vai & Gonzo show on 97.5 Cancelled

I couldn't be happier....i like to listen to WIP and The Fanatic....I found Gonzo to be the most annoying host I have ever heard on sports radio...the constant fake laugh was awful....Vai was ok, not great . Hopefully they get it together in that timeslot.
 
I liked Vai on that show. He had legit insights on the sports aspect, yet also kind of filled the role that Tony Bruno used to fill on WIP. Sort of the show's straight man from time to time. He's funny, knowledgeable and with the right partner, fine for that time slot. If his schedule allows and the station takes another chance on him.
 
I think Vai would have been good if he had a real host with him. He could have been god with a good "driver" of the show, someone to set him up. Neither guy was really a "radio" guy, so a lot of their stuff seemed forced and uncomfortable. Gonzo might even be pretty good as a 2nd guy, neither was a lead guy though.
 
I know 1 guy that would be a terrible "driver" of the show, and that's Mike Gill (AKA Harvey Browning)
