Vale Bill Caralis

Bill Caralis, the founder, Chairman and Managing Director of the Super Radio Network, and owner of 42 NSW and QLD stations, died of a heart attack on Friday July 19, aged 81.

I worked for one of his network stations in Queensland for around 12 months in 2001-02. It was a very unique job. I remember the station manager would never mention Bill by name, always calling him "the chairman.
