Valentine's Day Anniversary

2/14/06.....the 28th anniversary of Q-95 making the switch from an automated station to live jock classic rock. A day that turned Indianapolis radio on its ear. (1978)

"This is WFBQ, Indianapolis...Q-95. Pass it on!"

And I had it playing at work that very morning when "Morning Glory" opened the mic for the first time. I remember the other jocks also...Mike Tinnes, Jeremy Hale, Dave Dworkin.....man, what memories. I remember after hearing Steeley Dan's "Peg" for the first time, I had to run out and buy the Aja album!
It was a very good station and well-programmed. Now I feel old!

They were cutting edge back then. Their teases leading up to the debut said "The rock radio revolution finally arrives in Indy".
