I just cannot imagine that "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" would have been as
successful without her. She played so very well against MTM, Ted Knight,
Georgia Engels and Ed Asner.....

And yet for so many years they had to do it.
She cheated death for at least five years!
While I didn't look to see whether she was actually in the episode, they ended "The Simpsons" last night with a picture of whoever her character was and "in loving memory".
I wonder if Rhoda hadn't been popular enough for her own spinoff, would her TV sister have ever become Marge?
