Van Miller, Longtime Bills announcer dies at 87

Van Miller the longtime announcer for the Buffalo Bills has passed. He was 87. He announced for the Buffalo Bills from 1960 to 1970 and from 1987 through 2003. He had called 605 games for the Bills. He will be missed and his family are in
our thoughts and prayers.

Van was major league. Nobody did it better. His voice will be the standard that others are measured by in this market for a long time to come. No disrespect to John Murphy, who has done a credible job filling the position, but Van was one of a kind. We were lucky to have him for so many years.

Totally agree, Rox. Van was the man who rose to the occasion for the big moments of the big games. We were fortunate to have him in Western NY for those many years.
