Vancouver radio via cable system

Hi, I'm going to be in Vancouver BC on a four day weekend soon and would like to know how and/or what items I might need so I can hook up an FM receiver to the motels cable. I want to do some airchecks of the AM's in stereo as well as FM's. Is this even possible? If not I'll just do it the via the over air broadcasts. I've already printed a channel guide for Shaw cable's radio so I know what frequencies the stations are on.

Thanks for any help.

More often than not, the big hotel chains have their own internal cable systems where they re-distribue the channels thmeselves. It's unlikey that the cable FM frequencies get through.

In the unlikely case that you're staying at some low rent dive in New West, it's much like you'd do anywhere else; run the coax into your tuner.

If it can be done...HURRY! Both Rogers and Shaw are TERMINATING cable radio perminantly, to free up more HD TV space, etc.
(Sorry, I misplaced the article on this.)

It will soon be the same as hooking up a cable wire to your stereo in a home with no cable service.<P ID="signature">______________
