Vanguard buys 106.3

Vanguard Media will officially take ownership of KDLW, purchasing it from the Buzzuto Group's BB Broadcasting for $850,000, about 100k more than BB paid AGM for the station in 2017. So this will be Vanguard's biggest signal. They also successfully negotiated a translator interference dispute in Santa Fe with the owner of KDCE who will move the 106.3 translator to Espanola and move the Espanola translator at 100.7 into Santa Fe to avoid concerns about covering up 106.3 there.

I wonder if we will finally see a change on this station?

I heard a commercial for an event sponsored by Z106.3, a couple months ago on the stream for KOAZ (The Oasis). Not surprised.

Vanguard had been selling the airtime for Z-106.3 since AGM sold it. That’s why you heard a Z event on The Oasis.

It’s not a surprise that Vanguard eventually bought the station. That’s common in JSA's. They usually contain a right of first refusal if the station is either sold or put up for sale.
