Variety Hits to Atlanta???

Becoming a national radio trend (see Charlotte, Boston, even Gainesville)

Would fill a few format holes in Atlanta (even Oldies, BRENT.)

Two Signals that need to be replaced (92.9 and 100.5, maybe even 96.1)

Could it happen here in the ATL?

gj567, to answer your question, it's already happened here in the ATL once before. After looking at the playlist that 102.9 The Lake WLYT-FM in Charlotte, NC uses, the Clear Channel owned station basically threw in the same music they threw in during the last days of 94.9 Lite FM and then later at the short lived 96.7 Lite FM. WLYT-FM is also using the same slogan from back during Atlanta's Lite FM eras at 94.9 & 96.7, "Where It's All About Variety". If you ask me, I don't think Charlotte's The Lake is considered Variety Hits. I think they're still a regular AC station with the station name changed which was the case during Atlanta's Lite FM eras on 94.9 from 2002-2006 and on 96.7 throughout the year of 2007. I think the Variety Hits (Adult Hits) stations are those that call themselves Bob FM, Jack FM, Jill FM, etc. Dave FM at 92.9 doesn't count since they're AAA. If I'm wrong, would somebody please correct me? I really appreciate it. Thank you in advance for the correction whoever thinks I need one. That is all.

The Lake is Adult Hits now. Most of them go by "__________FM", but not all. I think it even follows the same PC log as Jack in Baltimore and the Lake in Cleveland, both of which do well.
