I'm looking for clever ways to possibly do a vehicle giveaway - I know we'll have to give out keys on the air...but how do you do it w/o making the listeners bored? Any suggestions would be incredibly helpful! Thanks!

Oh for the love of GOD and everything decent in America do not do the "key that could start the car". That was a new promotion when Jimmy Carter was president. Please do something else. Give away CD's and have each qualifyier insert their CD into the vehicle's CD player. Have music on all but one CD. On the "winning cd" have your morning show shouting "you won" or something along those lines.

Or give away key fobs (the thing that activates and deactivates the door locks) that also start the car engine. The lucky listener that gets the one that starts the engine is a big fat winner.

I'm sure others have twists on this but PLEASE do not do the "key that could start the car" because that incredible lack of creativity would qualify you for a job at Denny's.

Thanks for the suggestions! Actually...we had discussed all options (personally...I've always liked the CD option b/c it is fun and easy - plus you can give away other prizes too). What I'm really interested in is a clever way to give the "key" (CD, Key, Fob, or whatever) away on the air. We've done a variety of giveaways similar to a car giveaway, but we've never actually done a vehicle giveaway and I want it to really stand out and not sound comparable to something we've done before.

With most new cars, you really couldn't do that anyway--most new car keys now have those security chips in them that you can't get duplicated at the hardware store.<P ID="signature">______________
