Verizon Fios 1 News a complete fail today

Huge storms slam Nassau, winds 60mph+, downed trees and power lines everywhere plus flooding. And yet no live coverage from Fios 1 this afternoon and not even mentioned as a top story on this evening's news. I have to say Fios 1 is one of the most dissapointing attempts at a local news channel I have ever seen. Every NYC station led with the storms, including WLNY, but Fios 1, nope. I hated having Cablevision but I do miss having News 12. At least they put money into a decent local news channel, whereas Verizon is too cheap and contracts RNN which makes college TV look good. :(

No surprise here. Nor is it a shock that "every NYC station led with the storms." New York City newscasts lead off with severe weather stories, regardless of the extent of the severity, on days ending with "Y".
