Vern Gosdin dies at 74

One of the greatest country singers ever is gone but that raw emotion that he put into a lyric will live forever..Another hero is gone but nobody could rip your guts out with a song quite like "THE VOICE" "The Garden" by Vern is one of my top 5 country songs of all time..

Thanks Allen for remembering. Vern was one of the greats in country music, and was forgotten too soon. I really liked his version of "Never My Love" with backing vocals by Janie Frickie. I had a chance to meet Vern in 1988 at the peak of his career while I was working in Jacksonville, NC. A class act! R.I.P. Vern!
