Vernon steals YahooRadio for 730 from Sports56

My suspicion is that 560 gave Yoahoo up willingly. Verno is not a large enough player in the market to pull off any sort of coup. More people will learn of the switch on this board than on 730 AM

F.W. Robbert obviously doesn't have enough use for that frequency for "dollar-a-hollers" on a second Memphis frequency just yet (as evidenced by letting 1380 go all hispanic), so they will let it continue to be used for sports. Once they can fill it up with "dollar-a-hollers," they will change it over.

Haters - get some new material.
Your ad hominem attacks and old jokes don't get any better when you repeat them.

I dont hate somebody I dont know
Who is Chris Vernon?
Apparently he has a posse member cruising the boards.
Local sports guys?
oxymoron

I am not trying to be rude here and don't regularly listen to Chris Vernon but I am surprised some of you have no clue who he is. He has been a fixture on Memphis Sports radio for years, has a devoted following, and is a young guy who has a lot of energy and was one of the first local sports personalities who really embraced the Grizzlies. He has moved from station to station, but seems to know how to market himself and outside of perhaps Gary Parrish is probably the most entertaining sports personality in the area.
