I have one of the Samson USB mics for quick field voice work..Doesn't sound too good..even with a bunch of EQ..Anyone have one of these and can offer a solid EQ curve that will fix this? No, WAIT..Look at this!

B.L.U.E (The Baltic Latvian electronics company that refurbished U47's) is now making a QUALITY USB powered condenser mic..called the Snowball..
There must be some great booze in Latvia because all of BLUE's stuff looks really weird from my perspective..however this mic looks like a winner..even though it's shaped like a cueball, and requires a strange 1945 style shockmount..
Of course I bit...I have one arriving here Tuesday..I'll post links to sample tracks using both mics during the week.
The point is..IF this one sounds decent it can take the place of a bunch of external gear. If I can simply connect this mic to the back of my Alienware Notebook..and record on Adobe Audition then process with VST plug-ins..I can do a lot of my work from the front seat of a car...(Cars have awesome acoustics)
I can not find ANY other USB powered mics except for the Samson, and this one. If you know of any others..let me know.
I am continuing my quest to be able to do quality voice tracks, yet be able to travel..It's almost a challenge.
