Veteran KOOL-TV/KSAZ newscaster Bill Close has passed away.

What a big loss. R.I.P.

On the same note, Dave Munsey and John Hook both wore bola ties on last night's newscasts. John's bola tie was given to him by Bill and features the state seal in copper, while Dave's came from a viewer and has the letters "DM" and a crude representation of the Sunset 10 (red disk, yellow letters, 10 off center) on a shape of the state of Arizona. I don't think very many people caught that that particular viewer was recreating the Sunset 10!
