At this stage, it really doesn't matter if he is gone permanently or just for the day. FSR died months ago. The only show worth listening to is Steve Czaban and Ashwood will get rid of him if money gets too tight.

i think that would be a pretty good show. entertaining at least. but its too little too late. but i did hear stein and siciliano last week, and liked it. but im a big stein fan......

I have to say-

Is it just me or does FOX not know how to do radio?

I feel Stein is an empty-headed moron. Say what you will about VEW but he does have heartland appeal.

If they are getting rid of VEW, they are getting rid of the wrong guy on the Morning Extravaganza.

I rarely listen to the show now because I can't stand Sisliano- not VEW.

I can honestly say I would NEVER listen to it if Stein took over. Just too many unfunny smart allecks for my taste.

Great timing, huh? They wouldn't pay to keep Bruno, lost him to Sporting News and now as he's about to launch nationally, they fire VEW and think stations don't realize it's too late to save that sinking ship?
Stein could be great, but he's a non-name, nobody and the move makes Fox look even more small time than they already did.

That show stopped being the "Extravaganza" when Bruno left. And while I don't totally disagree that Andrew needs work, Van Hurl was absolutely awful. Lets face it, it's time to blow up whats left of that show. Then again, what would FSR put in its place? Something better??? ;-)

So is it official that Van Hurl is gone now? I haven't been able to find anything on it yet.<P ID="signature">______________

Confirmation?

Can anyone provide a link to a newspaper article that confirms Van Earl's firing? Or cite an insider who told you this. Until then, I'm pretty sure its just a vacation.

im pretty sure he isnt on vacay. if so, the promos would say that stein is filling in. it says the extravaganza with stein, sicilliano, and fernandez.....or something to that effect. and pratte, you and i will just never agree about anything on the radio. and thats a good thing ;)
