Now they are going the way of MTV, loads of commercials, specials, talk, reality shows, you name it. When they first launched five years ago, they played only great videos, nothing else, many that were not seen in 20 years and some never seen at all. They never yakked and yakked like they do now. Why do the MTV networks always mess up a good channel. I noticed they did not touch the urban outlets, they are still mostly videos.
 
Thats seems to be viacom's playbook. They launch a network that is different, and offers something. Than when they get on the majority of cable networks, they became the rerun network for the channel they had spinoff from. MTV2 for example, was started because MTV was showing less and less videos. So they started MTV2, under the name of M2 as the home for the videos. Look at it now, its just as bad as MTV, but wait now we have MTV hits for this. Well for now atleast.
