VH1 New Logo

It would appear that VH1 now has a new logo, which looks somewhat like this: Vl+1. It sort of reminds me of the original VH1 logo when they first came on in 1985. I believe that over the years, VH1 has had four different logos:

1985-1987 (I think): Original
1987 (I think)-1994: logo with blocks in the middle of the letters
1994-2003: Big 1 that said "VH" in it, with "Music First" written at the bottom
2003-2013: "Vh1" logo with flag on left top of V, and 1 backwards
2013: "Vl+1," the right part of the H and the - are combined to make a +

Has to be an improvement over the new Lifetime logo
which resembles a side-lit breast.

One good thing about it: theyve got one of the smallest onscreen bugs in use right now (ESPN's are probably the smallest - and most times the most unnecessary).

In the EW article linked above, the president of VH1 calls the network "entertainment on steroids."

Maybe they should have changed something other than their logo? How does the name "E+" sound?

Nothing helps a marketing campaign like linking your product to steroids! :D

Is it just me or is it time MTV AND VH-1 changed their names?

@Bongwater: Add "A&E" to the list - they haven't really aired much "arts" programming but then that would make them "E"... ;D
