VH1?

Can someone explain to me how showing the movie Home Alone fits into the programming scheme of VH1? Or is it just a free for all on all the channels, put on whatever the programming department feels like every morning when they walk in the office?

VH-1 always shows movies. Yesterday Uncle Buck was on. And I think it was also on VH-1 Classic Rock as well earlier this week.

And it has something to do with classic rock -- how?

By all means, let's break out the Gloria Estefan music videos again like in the old days. That'll bring in the viewers for sure. :D

VH1 rotted away about 8 years ago, when they started airing the "Behind the scenes" crap, which was ok at first, because it was music related. I don't know whats out there now, since I decided to scrap the pay TV eons ago. Prior to pulling the plug in 2003, there was one station that still showed current hit music videos, Fuse. It was once called MuchMusic USA out of Canada and was the best for current music videos, ranging from rock, heavy metal, hip hop/rap, almost everything but country. They had a few shows, but it was at least 20 hours/day music videos. What happened to it? I never hear it mentioned, here or anywhere. Was it dropped from cable or SAT TV? Was I the only only one watching it?

Say what you want about VH-1, but they do air at least one really high quality show. For the Love of Ray J is high-toned enough to be on PBS. And, the winner of last year's competition got a really great grand prize---Ray J's baby!!!!!

Just when I think the pendulum has swung as far as it's gonna go, it swings just a little bit further and the programming gets just a little bit stupider.
