I don't mean to nitpick, but the article states WJTO is 5000 Watts.. wooopppsieeess! It;s only 1kw, but Im sure Bob would love 5 big 'uns if he could get em!

Gee, I wonder if The Times-Record saying 5,000 watts authorizes me to go out, buy and install a 5kw transmitter! T'would be nice. By the way, my dog is named "Misty" as in "Play Misty For Me", which is the exact sentence I told the reporter. Oh well. She is happy to be on the front page picture with me (in-studio photo) in the paper.
 
Sometimes the newspaper articles about radio are good except the tech portion gets fouled up,as it did here. I know Bob would be thrilled if he could run more power on both stations. I used to hear the then WCAS cleanly in downtown Providence on a Realistic TRF, and at my then home in Coventry, mixing with
WGSM on Long Island. You can't beat a low frequency and a good antenna system for coverage. Bob, did you hear any of Huntington's testing a couple of weeks ago? They stayed on 20 kW day power after sunset one day and blew CHWO away one night...
