Vibe 107.5

The playlist is noticeably juiced up with more early 90s Hip Hop/Pop/R&B titles- dare I say they are finally a Throwback station? Even bumping Kid Frost and Lighter Shade on midday!!

Ive argued for years that nobody else should own the New Jack swing sound but they let KONO move in on that genre. Further separating from their sister BEAT sound.. Now if they move the imaging to lean Hispanic= Gold!

IMO, Vibe sound better, but the playlist is too tight and still lack variety.

Also, Robbie Rob and Dj Rene C., appear to be no longer be with Vibe. The Saturday Throwback Mixtape with Dj M3, Dj Rene C, Xavier and Dj AK seems to no longer exist.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit when the SA Univision cluster is sold to Latino Media Network.

Highly unlikely, but don't be surprised, either, if 1350 ends up scrapped and the license deleted once the 2024 election concludes and LMN is done with it. A rather sad ending for a once vibrant beacon and illustrious voice for the Mexican community in the Alamo City.

This is like the third time they’ve dropped current hits to focus only on throwbacks only to go back to playing both throwbacks and currents again later. The playlist sounds like 98.5 from 2006. E-40 U & Dat, Akon Smack That, Too Short Shake that Monkey, Ying Yang Twins, not exactly the type of rap I enjoyed back then and certainly not now. There’s plenty of new jack swing, freestyle, R&B, and more 90s-00s hip hop they could dig into.
