I wonder if the "wrong" playlist got "down loaded" on their automation PC. Something similar happen to me at KIUL when KWKR's program log was put in the KIUL in-box by mistake. I "played" the wrong commercials from 5 to 5:20 one morning. Thankfully there was only 3 commercials different. I made a note to self to always check the date and call letters on the program logs after that. People can make mistake it takes a computer the really foul thing up.
Not the kind of mistake a station needs to be making when it's trying to make a name for itself against the competition. I don't think it was that long ago that I caught WAPI-FM carrying traffic reports for Charlotte, North Carolina for several breaks during a local talk show. Must not be that uncommon of a problem.
If they use Scott Studios automation, the program has a 'default' log. If someone forgets to load the next days' log, the default log will play. Sounds like no one updated the default log from rock to CHR. oops.
