Vicki Holloway, the WBAP correspondent in Commerce?

Heard WBAP a couple of times tonight refer to KETR's Vicki Holloway as if she worked for WBAP. Is she really working for WBAP, or still at KETR (the campus station for ETSU/Texas A&M-Commerce) as she has been for ages? You'd think they'd sent Frida Ross (Findley), truly a WBAP newsperson AND an ex-KETR employee, to chase the shooting story in Commerce, rather than letting a non-employee 'phone it in.'

And funny to hear an inordinate amount of 'non-whites' calling in to WBAP's evening talk show to do damage control for Michael Jackson. Truly entertaining, for once, but where were they months ago when Kerry needed damage control from the swift boat debacle?

Listening to their old Michael Jackson records?

Vicki is still at KETR. WBAP has used "campus radio station" employees as stringers, Aaron Brodie does it at UNT(KNTU).

On the MJ call in. Have you ever heard of the "First Weekenders Club"? It's composed of African Americans who will attend an opening weekend for a Movie that stars African American actors in hopes of showing a large box office opening attendance with the goal of propelling the movie into the top 5 by "word of mouth"days afterwards. It doesn't matter if the movie is good or bad.
The same can be said of the callers. WBAP a bastion of middle age white listeners, are zeroed in by MJ's"fans".BTW if you had seen some MJ websites the rallying cry was made that soon asthe verdict was announced "fans'should FLOOD the phone lines of talk stations.
