Victoria Ratings?

Does anyone know how the stations are doing in Victoria like KVIC, KIXS etc.?

I do not think Arbitron rates this market. So ratings, as we know them, are not available.

True dat, true dat.

Ratings are available. This is a designated Eastlan market. Lufkin was once one and Yuma, AZ is one too. Last week Rome/Utica, NY dropped Arbitron for Eastlan.

As far as the ratings go for Victoria:
12+
1. KIXS

2. KLUB

3. KITE

4. KVIC

5. KEPG

6. KHMC

7. KULF

8. KQVT

9. KTXN

10. KVNN

Spring book, April 5th through May 30th, right? Anybody know if they were really on the air the whole two months...?

Can't you still get Arbitron's "county by county" numbers for this market? You would have to get numbers from a bunch of countys since Victoria is a "region" unto itself. To get a true reflection I would think you would need AT LEAST Victoria, Calhoun, Jackson, Goliad and Dewitt.

Are Eastlan's numbers for Victoria county only? Also, do they do diary's or phone survey's?

Why would Arbitron do a "county by county" for this market if it's unrated? That's not even logical.

As far as I can remember, they have always done that, but they only do it once per year.

For instance, Matagorda county is not part of Houston or Victoria's ADI, however, if you wanted to buy the numbers for that county only you could....Matter-of-fact, I know a women from Matagorda county that just got a Arbitron diary a couple months back.

How is KULF ahead of KTXN? Funny if KEPG was number 5 why did they flip to rock? I think that was a bad choice.

Eastland is diary and not phone. From what I understand their survey dates are two weeks shorter than Arbitron. My buddy tells me it's a 7 county survey with a Victoria county breakout.

There is still access to County by County with Arbitron. The bad thing about that survey is that it is released in May and it is based on diary collection in 2006, so the numbers are a year old when the final tabulation is released. And most of the diaries collected are from the Houston diary process so the county by county has a skewing with that market and does not account for counties south, west and north of Victoria county proper.
