Victoria Recaño Out At KTLA

Not too much of a surprise I guess. With all the former KCAL/KCBS anchors coming to KTLA, it shouldn't be hard to fill the space.

I always thought it strange to see Leila Feinstein doing the Health & Fitness report on the same show in which she used to serve as co-anchor. It seemed like a demotion (although it may have been a change she asked for. Less pressure, maybe). As a reporter Leila seems like a lightweight, but a good reader.

So who would replace Victoria? If I were running the news desk I would almost be tempted to put Cher Calvin in the co-anchor chair (especially since she's already doing weekends) except that she is probably the best field reporter KTLA has. Gutsy and great at organizing and laying out the facts. It would be a waste to take her entirely out of the field and put her behind a desk.

No, Victoria's replacement will probably come from the outside, probably KCAL/KCBS.
