VIDA VISION 106.7 FM, WHATS GOING ON!

finding more info
stations simulcasts on 1480 am in pasadena. were looking into them to see what we can do to shut them down. they really caused some inteferance when they went on, right now its no so much interferance now but its definately noticable

funny thing is that 1480 am tower array and building is two blocks from my house so i may just drop in and say hello
 
vida vision is hector and roberto guevarra they were at one point running things on KLVL and now they buy air time on KYST 920am and i remember a few years agoi heard them braggin on how they had purchased this fm station. Im not 100% sure if they are a pirate i remember a while back reading that they had bought the station for like 250 thousand from a ministry based in Dallas. They left KLVL and moved over to KGBC they could not afford the bills and lost it and now are just buying time durring nights 7:00pm-6am and some hours durring the day!!Vida vision is a play-off of RADIO VIDA 1520 they had before and Radio vision the original 1480AM
 
their broadcasting from their church's studio its in spring branch its called centro de vida eterna im sure you can find them really quick they no longer broadcast from pasadena and on another note KLVL doesnt broadcast from pasadena either they have studios in sugar land!

Have you folks over at Univision turned on the 100 KW 598 Meter tower? That should really obliriate them without any prblem. Or is KOVE still at 403 Meters? That can be a problem.

Where can you pick up 106.7 at exactly? Because the easiest way to run them off from 106.7 is the good ole IBOC. I say blast the suckers with IBOC, teach them a lesson about spacing!

Hmmm, I have to head to downtown next week for a meeting and stay overnight....guess I need to break out the FM antenna and hook it to the R2600 Spectrum Analyzer and do a T Hunt ;)
There is NO WAY 106.7 is legal....not with a full C on 106.5!!! I dont think Univision has finished (or even started?) with the new 2000ft for 106.5...I plan to drive down to there and check it out soon to see whats been done.
 
why are you all talking bad about Vida Vision? That is a God station and its not hurting anybody :mad:
 
Is this the spanish pirate that use to run on 87.9 just east of down town on a new frequency?
 
No, actually 87.9 fm was Radio Manantial De Vida, I know a guy that worked for them, he had invited me to a huge fund thing they had. They were going to have like a Christian carnival and all the money they collected was going to go to the station. Supposly to buy a better antenna or something like that. And also on 87.9 but this in north houston, like in the litle york and aldine westfield area there was another station named radio poder. It was also on 87.9 fm. I had another friend from church thta had a program in that station, he said the FCC shut them down because they left the station unattended. I dont know if this is true or not, but he said it is illigal to leave a station running alone.

It is illegal. It is on the adjacent channel of KOVE, and wiping out their signal in part of the metro.

Being a Christian station does not give the right to break the laws; most pirates also violate zoning regulations, RF exposure rules, and many interfere with the aviation bands and other communications services. This is beyond not being licensed and not having type accepted equipment.

In other words, this station is doing some very illegal and unChristian things.

They are breaking the law. Wow! THat's a first. Yeah right.

If I was the owner of KOVE, I would press charges. They are interferring with a legit signal. I am pretty shure Univision does not invest millions of dollars, just so they can be interferred by a pirate station.

Just because you are christian does not give you the right to broadcast any time, anywhere you want. IMO, ANY type of Religious broadcasting should not be allowed in the airwaves. Non-Profit station my as*!

So pelochas, I say you fire up the IBOC and mess around with their signal, let's see how they like it.

As Jesus said, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's"......Caesar in this case being the Federal Gov and not the dog whisperer ;)
