And we should care, why? Are you his PR man? Or are you Malone yourself engaging in some selfpromottio? Too cheap to hire a PR man?
 
KRBE did the story an hour before him. The hack just copies everything he does and tries to pass it off as his own.
 
The story of the toll increase was not a KRBE story or a Mix story...it was everywhere. Scott and Susie had it on KHITS, Edd Hendee and Pat Gray talked about it and interviewd County Judge Ed Emmett on KSEV.... I'm sure most stations did something on it... Now Emmett is back on KSEV talking about the change of heart. And for once it appears that the people were heard and the decision to double the tolls during peak hours was reversed.

I won't post anything else for a while if this is how things will become on this board. I've only been coming around here since 2003.
 
Sorry if my "attitude" ticked you off. I was in a foul humor when I saw your posting about Malone, and I should have thought about it a little more before posting my snotty response.

Please don't judge this whole board by my little anti-social outburst. If you've been coming here since 2003, you know that a lot of very fine radio people hang around here. I need to work a little harder at being one of them.

Peter, you keep posting, and dont worry about the bitter types and their anger issues.   This is good stuff, as like it or not, Sam Malone is becoming a sizable piece of Houston Radio history.  

Freud would have a field day evaluating Sam-Envy.   It's unexplainable.   The fact that someone from management wants to pay Sam, Ryan/Roula,  H&H, Mad Hatta, Tuttle/Klein/Jenny,  Walton & Johnson etc.  to do what they do is the last hope that companies might possibly grasp the need for human talent.   I, personally, am glad that they get in bidding wars over Sam.   It means there is hope that you and I may someday get paid.   Its a good thing.  You want that.  

If I am more talented than Sam/Walton/Rog, or whoever, then I'll be sitting in their chair eventually.   If not, someone else will recognize it.    Goodness knows we've found enough other things to whine about on this board.   

I can sit around and whine about the current state of radio, or I can get off my ass and feed my family.   Have a Coke and a smile, yall.
