VIEW FROM THE INSIDE

M&M picture to lead the story? Really?! AND their quoted???!!!

Where's the "crap" kid when we need him most. Honestly, seeing those empty heads attached to this story made me not want to read it.

And we wonder about the demise of radio...

M&M were #1 P18-49 and P25-54 (English Speaking) in June and have been Top 3 forever it seems. They may not be your cup of tea but Las Vegas loves them. I find it pretty funny that's the only part of the article you take issue with...

the only thing "good" about the article is how nice and techy looking the M&M studio is, if only CBS would put as much money into their on air talent as they do the studio equipment!! LOL!!! all I have to say is CBS must bill alot for the M&M show, didn't M&M come from Denver market (20) to las vegas (33) per arbitron???? hmmmmm. can you say going down???

[How some Las Vegas radio executives and air people feel about what the rest of us see as the demise of radio. Too bad he didn't bother talking with any listeners. Maybe he couldn't find any.

Funny, but 93% of people listen to some radio at least once a week. That's not from an inside radio source, but an outside source hired by Sirus etc. who only showed up with 6%!

...making it that much more egregious that the writer didn't include any comments from listeners. We already know from how these stations sound, how the people quoted in the article do what they do and how they justify it. Since PPM doesn't measure actual listening, I'd be far more interested in actual comments from actual listeners in pieces such as this. Without asking them directly, there is no way to know how they really feel about any of it.

Sure there is. Look at the Arbitron releases about the committee working on a metric that shows commitment or engagement to each station.
