Viewership dropped for Couric's Iraq visit...

I think the problem with the CBS network is more at the top then with Katie Couric. Hiring her is just one of the latest bonehead moves by Les Moonves, Moonves has turned what was once the finest news organization around, into a laughing stock.

CBS needs to put her on The Early Show. They wouldn't fire her thats for sure. CBS News needs to find someone else. At first I thought she would do good but I guess not.

As for NBC and ABC, isn't NBC is number one correct?

ABC news with Charles Gibson is rated number 1. Brian Williams and NBC is a close second.
CBS trails at third place.

As for the suggestion Couric should be moved to the network's Early Show, it ain't going to happen folks. The only saving-grace for CBS is to have Couric moved to 60 minutes and try to find someone with stature to replace Couric. There are a number of possible candidates. Personally I think CBS should try to court Lester Holt from NBC. There are also a few cable TV network reporters and anchors that might jump at the chance if given an opportunity.

Someone suggested that CBS News isn't what it once was. I agree. The person who hired Couric should be booted out of Black Rock and replaced.
