Vikki Not Producing the Numbers Without Steve

Since Steve McCoy left the B98.5 morning show, ratings have been on a steady decrease.

Vikki Locke doesn't seem to be doing the job as a primary host.

98.5 has had K & A, S & V, now just Vikki, in the AM drive. This sounds like a PD (or whoever hires and fires air talent) problem!

Cox is saving over $350K a year w/o Steve...it's worth a temporary decline. The ratings will improve. They always do.

Well, we all know what is going on here. B98.5 is targeting the WOMEN in the morning. I don't thing that women wanna hear just Vicki.

It hasn't made a difference for me.........as I never listened to B98 in the morning then/or now.

But, their switch to more Rock and even more Lite Rock about 2 months ago has had an effect.

I can hardly take them at all anymore unless it's their 80's weekends. The days of Madonna
GETTING INTO THE GROOVE and the Average White Band PLAYING THAT FUNKY MUSIC seem
to be over.

Where'd the $350k number come from? Some tool drank the Kool Aide and figured McCoy was not adaptable to PPM and predicted the future. False. There is no one as professional as SM who could do whatever it takes. It may break his heart to not be himself, but... Cox gave the farm to Cruduluss and Bert and that's a sad state of affairs. How many TRILLIONS of lost rev dollars have avoided radio because of companies beginning with a "C" in the ATL mkt? Geez.

Um, not to nit pick but I'm gonna, which is: Play That Funky Music was by Wild Cherry, and they just about define "one hit wonder". The Average White Band didn't do it. And on the other hand, AWB were actually a really good soul band (albeit made up of a bunch of white Scotsmen).

and all I heard was dead air? Their auto-pilot seems to not be working.
