Vince Marotta leaving the Edge

They just announced on the morning ritual that Vince Marotta is leaving for another station. Has anyone heard where he's going? Thanks.

I didn't realize that Jacobs was switching to the 3-6 slot, probably because I don't listen to XTRA in the afternoons anymore. It would make sense that Moratta is going back to sports. I may have to start listening to him again.

If he is making that move it seems a little weird. I would think co-hosting a popular morning show would be considered better than co-hosting an afternoon sports show...

Vince doesn't co-host "The Morning Ritual." It's called "Chuck Powell's Morning Ritual." With Bruce, it'll be Bruce & Vince, and he'll be doing what he really likes, sports.
Good for him...but about that cackle, Vince...

In the long term, what's a better move for him??? The edge or xtra? Personally I think he was better off at the edge playing second fiddle then going to xtra playing second fiddle. But as long as he is happy, that's all that matters

Yesterday afternoon, Bruce called up his "un-named cohost" and you could pretty quickly figure out it was Vince. I like Vince almost as much as I enjoy Bruce... so it's good that they are back together on Xtra. I was wondering if Vince would leave the Edge... but I did hear about his announcement today.

I wish CBS would take Chuck Powell and move him to Free FM. He is so talented and wouldn't mind hearing him on Free FM

Didn't Bruce and Vince co-host the XTRA morning show a few years ago, for like five minutes?

So Bruce does split shifts? wakes up at the crack of dawn for FYI, goes home sleeps and then comes back to do pm drive for Xtra? Wow.... I don't know if I like those hours but hey more power to BJ

OK Heather lewis is gone and now vince.

So I guess its the chuck powell and thrill ride show now????

And whats up with ENERGY 92.7 and 101.1???

That has become the \"Pistol Pete Radio experience\"

He\'s a good DJ and funny as hell, but can a station live with just one dj????

I read in another post that energy was going to flip NOooooooooo!!!!!!!

Where would I get my dance fix?

Typically, stations with 12 listeners don't last too long. The fact that the station is ironically called "energy" when it has a signal that's constant static probably plays into the ratings issue also. Extremely niche formats like that are doomed to fail--look at Air America.

Even though I am a fan of Dance music.. I must point out Energy has lasted a real long long time with hardly no ratings LOL. They signed on in June 2002 so if they make it to June it will be five long hard years with the beats!
