Vince Young out as CEO of New Young Broadcasting

Vince Young has stepped down as CEO of Young Broadcasting. It was also reported that Jim Morgan will step down as their CFO and Deb McDermott will continue on as President of the New Young Broadcasting Group.

Gray Television currently manages seven of the Young stations and the three remaining stations which include KRON-TV will be managed by the New Young Broadcasting Group. There was no word as to the status of the shared services agreement which was discussed in February of 2010 with NBC.

yeah, it's time for KRON to leave the airwaves to have channel 4 move to a new resurrected channel. move MNTV to KICU 36 since it's sister to KTVU. RIP KRON (1949-2006)

I am curious Jack, How did you pick the 2006 as KRON's death date? In my opinion, it would be 2001, since that was the final year of KRON as an NBC affiliate.

The four years that KRON went independent, they had some good syndicated programming such as PYRAMID, Elimidate, Andromeda, Blind Date 5th Wheel, Bay Area Backroads, Bay Cafe, The Big Spin, Make Me a Millinaire and the local high school game show, Bay Area Quiz Kids. When the real talent left between 2002-2006, and KRON picked up MNTV (which should have been moved to KICU), that's when things went downturn for the worst. That's why I picked 2006 instead of 2001, while I did feel so pissed that KRON lost NBC to KNTV, they still had some programs worth watching other than their watered down news.
