Vinnie Booked With 2nd Degree Murder

It's on the WWL-TV web site.

OJ...Ron Hunter...Robert Blake...Vince Marinello... " who, me ????? "

Mitchell's new on-air partner reportedly to be Dumpy the Chimp, who will probably be the more intelligent of the two.

Good lawd! Talk about takin' post-Katrina stress to the extreme...DAMMMN! Prayers and condolences to Liz's family and thoughts to Vinnie's friends and co-workers...this can't be easy.

Two bullets in the head from close range is not "a botched robbery".

Vince joined Mitchell and me as the KOOL Wake-Up club sports guy. I sat inches from him every morning for a couple of years. I always saw him as a nice guy. He is, of course, innocent until proven guilty.

My prayers go out to both families involved and to Bob and everyone else there at Entercom.

when the evidence overwhelmingly says guilty..then by god..hes gulity!! trial or no trial. was charles manson innocent when he was arrested  ifeel sorry for the families. but not for him!

I knew it all the time...

Too bad they can't seek the death penalty, but at his age (69), how much longer could he have--getting assraped at Angola?:'(

Will he participate in the prison rodeo?

Even though Vince gets a trial, I know in my heart he's guilty and deserves punishment. :-X

How sad that someone wants to pretend like they are living out the Sopranos. 8)

Sheriff Harry Lee said that Vince actually shot her himself, wearing a disguise that he bought.
What a moron! :D ;D :D ;D :D

I guess Entercom paid him so poorly that he couldn't afford a hit-man.

My God! It's ALL they're talking about on WWL...stooping to new lows...

Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like they're being almost TOO forthcoming with this? I listened last night and this morning and they were asking for public comment on their feelings. In that vein, it's like they're turning themselves INTO the story and its almost detracting from what's actually going on (an employee is charged with second degree murder of his estranged wife).

WWL is an opportunist joke with this whole thing. Especially putting Mitchell on and hearing him sobbing because "Vinnie was my best friend...my partner".

Anyone who knows Mitchell knows he has no friends. They're all bleeding this thing for all it's worth.

Delicious indeed. Mitchell and Vinnie. Dumb and Dumber. Not necessarily in that order.

I'm not an attorney, but I have always understood the difference between first and second degree murder charges to be one of premeditation (advance planning) of the act.
After listening to Sheriff Lee's press conference, it sure sounded to me like the murder was planned well in advance.

Don't forget also "like an older uncle". Mr. Mitchell is well into his 60's as well? Between Mitchell and Dave Cohen butting in every 30 seconds, I had to turn it off. I understand their shock & disappointment but last night reminded me of when Buddy D passed away. That was a celebration of life. This of one taken.

A great stage performance by Mitchell...like the TV interview after he was carjacked a few years back. All decked out in his Kool 95 attire. And after his picture on channel 4, 10pm news last night, do us all a favor. Stay off the tube! You look dumber than you sound...

Kelso, I agree 100%. It’s like they are obsessed with the story because they are PART of the story. Goodness gracious, a guy with a bad rug kills his wife. Interesting stuff, but come on already. If Scott Peterson worked at the station, would they have treated him the same? And, finally, Kenny Wilkenson - how in the world did he get a job at that station? He can’t finish a sentence without stammering 5 times, and he is such a jock sniffer!
