Vintage JRN/Jones Smooth Jazz Airchecks

Last week I managed to locate, update and post two of the earliest JRN recordings I have.

The first comes from KZSP (Love 95.3) South Padre Island, TX, recorded on 9 January 2000. The second comes from WDRR (Dream 98.5) San Carlos Park-Ft. Myers, FL, recorded on 29 April 2000.

Majaman, I hate to disappoint you, but Al Vincent isn't on either one of these recordings :) Deborah Lee is on the KZSP check, and Paul Riann is overnight on the WDRR aircheck.

The two recordings are 2 1/2 hours each and are encoded at 160/44.1, and can be found here:

A few weeks ago, I found tucked away in a box, a VHS tape that contained six hours of the JRN Smooth Jazz network. It was recorded from KZSP South Padre Island at the turn of the millenium: 25 January 2000 to be exact. The on-air personalities featured Paul Riann, Terry Hickman, and Lynn Hughes.

The audio from KZSP came from an air monitor/receiver that sounded like it wasn't close to the transmitter, which fed a 24 kbps windows media stream. I have encoded these files at 80/44.1, and split the aircheck into six separate files. The link to the folder is here: http://www.4shared.com/dir/Tu98UjbB/KZSP.html

I also uploaded 81 minutes of JRN from WSSJ, which was recorded on 29 October 2006. Al Vincent is the on-air talent. It can be found here, encoded at 192/44.1:

The aircheck I have uploaded from the JRN Smooth Jazz Network this week was recorded during the last days of their programming.

Here are five+ hours of audio from JRN affiliate WJZT Tallahassee, FL recorded on 7 August 2008. The personalities here include John Evans and Laurie Cobb, with no DJ's overnight. The .mp3 files are 96/44.1 and can be found here:
