Vintage TV Station Print Ads

For anyone interested, I've managed to put together a number of print ads ranging from the 1950s to the 1990s from TV stations across the country. The sources include TV Guide, the long-gone TV Forecast/TV News, and various local newspapers.

Found it. Bookmarked it. Thanks, Stitch.

Whoever's behind the site must be a midwesterner, judging from pages 1 through 5. All those ads are from that region, except for a couple from West Virginia.

Just removed the site from my bookmarks.

Ah yes, KNBC Los Angeles, WKBW Buffalo, WMGC 34 Binghamton NY are all great midwestern stations. But great job and effort putting this site together.

Nice work! Thanks for sharing.

LOL! Didn't get that far, because I had to go to work. I'd better bookmark it again [blush and apologies to Stitch.] Thanks, Oldies man, for digging deeper. And my apologies too to all midwesterners. I've never lived in the region, and my only exposure to it was two brief visits to Ohio (Cincinnati in 1977, Cleveland and Canton [passing through Akron] in 1999). So I really couldn't relate to the markets on P. 1 through 5. OTOH, Oldies man, I visited L.A. in 1981, went through Buffalo a couple of times on the way to Niagara Falls, and been through Binghamton about 6 times, most recently last October on the way home from the Adirondacks.

OK folks, I found the ad for KNBC (with two young Toms [Snyder and Brokaw], plus Jess Marlow) taking up all of Page 8. The first non-midwest, non-WV ad on the site, unless I missed one.

Great job! I hope you can add some ads from Washington State and Oregon in the future. Although, I did see KVAL-TV's Logo (Eugene, Oregon).
