Vintage WKIP Airchecks

actually the WKIP site is kind of old...I don't believe they update at least not on a regular basic...too bad it would be nice if they would...

I found this link to a site that features vintage airchecks from the days of WKIP when it was a top 40 station. Here it is.

This has a great piece of history in Hudson Valley radio when WKIP was a successful top 40 station. Tom Shovan was a program director at that time. You gotta love it.

There are also some good local airchecks on northeastairchecks.com; there's a good one of Tom Shovan's defection to WHVW (who at the time had 60% of the market including the nyc stations); cool sound effects and jingles...the WKIP airchecks are very good also, who's who of local radio legends like my good friend Johhny Walker, etc
