Virgin's radio column is useless. It either focuses on the obscure (Mount Vernon radio), the obvious (as in today's installment), or it's a puff piece for someone. Why doesn't Seattle have a decent radio column in the newspaper like Victor Streideke used to write in the Times, with real news and some occasional analysis of the market?
Sorry...but I disagree. Vic's columns were just as mass-appeal as the ones Bill writes. Both are examples of prose very relevant to their audience ... the people reading the newspaper!! Vic was also responsible for the Sunday line-ups.
Not sure where to suggest you go for INSIDER info ... but the market-wide newspaper wouldn't be it. This board ain't it either ... not a knock on the Radio-Info efforts by any means; but more of a knock about the number of whiners. Whenever a thread comes up that involves some opportunity to exchange ideas, many o the regulars just get back into the whacked ego and put-down modes. Do we REALLY think that's what people would want to read in the P.I.?!??!!!!

Seattle Newspapers Radio Reports
..I still rant: BRING BACK CHUCK TAYLOR!
The Times STILL doesn't have any 'solid' weekly local radio reporter;
you'll only find 'special' radio items and/or occasional feature peices in THAT paper - print or online
Besides, most inside the 'radio fraternity' already KNOW what's happening in this business regardless -
All those that are from the OUTSIDE of this frat - could REALLY give a horse's patootie
