VIRGIN Radio Beat 8-25

I am just curious if you are being paid by, or maybe are Bill Virgin, because it seems every week a link to his column is posted here and it contains the same old stale crap each and every week.

I realize this is a Seattle Radio board and all, but honestly if I wanted to know what Bill Virgin had to say I would read the Seattle PI, but then again I have testicles so I get my news from other sources.

I don't think DT's being paid to post the link...a more likely answer is he/she likes to post LOTS of links.

Maybe it's just to be a information superstar, or maybe there's some gratificaion in posting links to things that people who know/care about it already have...whatever.

As for BV's column - it's better than what a lot of cities have. That's nothing, by the way. Yes, Virgin ain't a Feder or Mainelli - but again, this ain't Chicago or NYC.

Bill Virgin is not a bad reporter at all. He has written a lot of good columns, and I do think he is one of the P-I's better columnists. He offers information and is completely non-judgmental. The writing skills typical to many, maybe most participants of this board are so poor that they could not begin to be considered for a newspaper writing job. I couldn't care less if what he writes is lacking in interest to this board. He communicates to a general audience, something that some of the radio geeks who read this should consider doing.

AGAIN...

...Think "CENSORSHIP"...You don't like it - pppppPISS OFF!

I AGREE that some of Virgin's weekly columns ARE piss-poor, but it's all Seattle's GOT right now -

E-mail Virgin at [email protected] directly and vent your frustrations....THERE...

Good point, LNC. I couldn't have said it better myself.

No kidding. I see a GLOWING future in radio programming and management if one can write clever message-board positioners!

But spelling counts - and what's a "dail" anyway? Is that like a bird or something? Like a henway? You know what's a henway, right?

THANK YOU! It's AllAccess Net Talk...nothing constructive, at least in these Virgin postings. BTW, DIAL...anyone who is into Seatle radio KNOWS all about Virgin's Thursday columns in the P-I. Thanks, but no thanks for the weekly reminders. Please no more postings for postings sake. Tnx.

Contest

Let's see if anyone else can get Bill's column link posted before DT gets it done next week.

Re: AGAIN...

why does anyone care what someone posts???????
If you don't feel like reading it, then don't put the little arrow on the link. Some people act like 4th graders on this board. I agree with the guy that wrote "you all suck."

If somebody doesn't stir the s#!% pot once in awhile you get that hard crust built up on the top and well pretty soon people just start going elsewhere ;-)

I am glad I could finally get my hand on the stick and give the pot a good stir!
